Hey Honey... What is This in the Fridge?

Every now and then I look into the inner recesses of the refrigerator looking to score some great leftover for lunch, or a small snack.  I know that my wife will stash the "good stuff" out of view of the kids so that one of us can have the last little bite of the steak, clam sauce linguini, or smoked sirloin.  It is a glorious thing to dwell over the last bite of ribs or something yummy and I love to go looking.

Sometimes though that mysterious force that abducts the socks from the dryer moves those tasty morsels to the very back of the fridge to undergo some horrible transformation from something really good, to something stale, furry, and awful.

Moldy_pizza.jpgWhat was once delicious and a prized dish is now garbage and needs to be brought to the curb immediately.  No sniff test needed, you can tell from the bluish greenish hue of the "food" that bad things have happened and that you are not going to be enjoying that last bite unless you want your stomach pumped.

Your blogging content is just like that little morsel of food leftover from Sunday dinner.  You prepared it with such care, relished in its perfection at the table, chuckled at the wittiness of it, and shared the link with everyone you could think of in your contact list.

But now, after a month of sitting in the fridge it is starting to turn, getting a little less witty, and if it is the same blog that a prospect saw last month when they were assembling a list of vendors to look at, they are starting to think that you are not that interested in being a constant contributor to the thought leadership world.

DCIG has several analysts that are ready to do supplemental blogging for you to increase the frequency of your content refresh.   We know that at the very least a monthly blog entry is key, and turning one of those blogs each quarter into an executive white paper is a good minimal approach to staying on top of your content.  Let's face it, you are busy, and can only do so much, and we bring a third party viewpoint to the mix that is valuable to prospects to read.

So if you are in need of a little cleaning out of the content fridge, let me know and we will put a package together for you that will freshen up the stores and help you move that blue, furry, meatloaf on its way to Valhalla.

I will look forward to seeing you at SNW this next week, if you stop me and tell me you read this and are a non client; I will put you in a drawing for a blog entry.  Hope to see you there!

Jim
